FAQ
Stator rewinds (ignition side): what to expect
A rewind replaces old, cooked, or failing windings and can improve reliability and spark energy consistency when done correctly.
Ignition-side rewinds are built for heat and vibration.
- High-temp magnet wire improves survival in hot cases.
- A rewind won’t fix mechanical issues (bad flywheel key, loose flywheel, broken connectors).
- Always inspect connectors and grounds when replacing a stator.
